At the Lindvart Park
On a burning hot Saturday afternoon my family and I went to the
Lindvart Park to play soccer. My dad said when you score it hast to
roll on the groud. First we played soccer. It was boys vs girls but I
said, “I’m on the boys side. There's too many girls.’’ Then my dad
said, “OK.’’ Then we started. It was our ball. My older brother said,
“See you on the other side of Loserville. The ball was easy to get
off them. Taonga nearly scored but my mum stopped it. She threw
it down by the goal but luckily my dad stopped it. He threw it to
me and I was going to pass it to Taonga but he was blocked then I
was going to pass it to my dad. But then he was blocked so I scored
my self. My dad said, “Yas we got a goal.’’ I said, “Last goal wins.”

So we carried on. It was one nil. My dad said, “Who ever scores the
last goal wins a 5 litre ice-cream.” My mum said, “We’ll win that 5
litre ice-cream.” My mum threw the ball to my sister Jean. She was
dribbling the ball so it could go under our legs. She tried to goal but
it went up in the Air.My dad said, “No Try.”My dad said, “We won.”
We sat down and had a rest because it was hot as hell.So we went
