           At the beach...03/05/17/…
On Friday my family and I went to the Opononi beach to swim in the splashy waves. First we zoomed in the car to the beautiful sandy beach.
We could see the big huge waves. I felt the wind. The wind was as cold as ice. I wanted to dive into the water but the wind was making me feel cold so I thought I better wait till it got warmer. So we played on the beach for a little while.
The sun started to shine and the wind stopped blowing.
“Yay!” we shouted. “It’s time for a swim.”
When I hopped in the water I was surprised because the water was warm. I had a nice swim.
After that I asked my mum and dad if I could go and play in the waves with my boogie board. My dad said, “Yes but be careful.” So I rushed to get my boogie board out of the car. The waves came in huge. They splashed and crashed on me and my sister and pushed us up on to the beach.
It was so cool and fun.
What a fantastic day at the beach.
